Precision Press, a Taylor Company, is looking for Mechanic Technician to join our team! This position will construct, maintain, and test mechanical equipment, machinery, and components in our production facility. Responsibilities include observing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing printing equipment, press parts, electrical problems, and other equipment throughout the facility; calculating and installing main electric to equipment and other power distribution; setting up and operating drills, lathes, grinders, welders, and other necessary tools and equipment to make and repair presses and component parts; initiating purchase orders for items necessary to repair or replace component parts or other related equipment; performing various preventive maintenance functions on equipment on a scheduled basis to maintain equipment and prevent breakdowns; maintaining attendance according to facility guidelines and working constructively with co-workers, supervisors, vendors, etc. Requirements include the ability to read, interpret, and decipher general written instructions from documents such as work orders, parts orders, safety regulations, operating procedures, or other job-specific written documents; ability to speak and communicate effectively with fellow employees; ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; and ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 4+ years of experience, and previous industrial electric and machine maintenance experience. The shift is 7:00am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday (negotiable), with 2nd shift also possible.
